Amy’s Secret: A Swansboro Murder Mystery Event

Amy's Secret: A Swansboro Murder Mystery Event and After Party scheduled for April 25 have been postponed until the fall because of the coronavirus outbreak.  We are very disappointed but felt this was the best decision for all.

We will let you know when we reschedule this exciting new opportunity to have fun while contributing to our mission of education and preservation of Swansboro History.

Saturday, April 25, 10-4 p.m.  •  Swansboro Historical Association

Written, planned, and manned by volunteers and staff of the Swansboro Historical Association, this truly unique event combines aspects of the traditional Old Homes Tours, murder mystery dinners, and escape rooms.  Following a brief meeting with some ghostly figures, guests will be tasked with solving puzzles, and collecting clues hidden around downtown Swansboro.  Through these puzzles and clues teams will not only solve the event’s mystery but learn about some of Swansboro’s rich history and culture.

“This event promises to be a lot of fun,” states Christine Brin, event volunteer and museum educator with the NC Maritime Museum in Beaufort, “I have helped create twelve different mystery events in Beaufort with a lot of success and am excited to bring this new style mystery event to life in Swansboro.”

Tickets are $50 per person, with an optional $30 after party, group packages will also be available starting at $300 per group.  All proceeds will be used to support the Swansboro Historical Association.  The event is designed to take 60-90 minutes to complete and includes light refreshments and the chance to visit some downtown sites not normally open to the public.  The after party will start following the mystery event at 5:00 p.m. and will be catered by Class Act Catering of Cape Carteret, North Carolina.

Tickets go on sale Friday, March 13, for assistance ordering online please call 910-467-5875.
