109 Walnut Street – Will Davis House – 1910
William James Davis and Viola Weeks were married in the Peletier area.Mr. Davis was a native of Swansboro and worked here in a General Store. He was Postmaster from about 1919-1930. Their children were William, Lora Florence, Jabie and Estelle. Will Davis died in 1932 and Viola remained in the house until her death in 1957. Their daughter, Florence lived and worked in Swansboro until the late 1900’s. She had married V.F. (Sam) Alligood and they had a daughter, Carol, in 1945.
